Mezcal Los Danzantes
Los Danzantes is a group of gastronomers running four restaurants and their own mezcal distillery in Santiago Matatlan. This building was purchased in 1997 and adapted to modern requirements, without foresaking traditional methods of production. Joel Antonio Juan and his team are producing Mezcal Los Danzantes in the categories Joven, Reposado and Añejo here, and some special Mezcales from assortments of various agaves or from Agave Tobalá (A.potatorum), a rare wild agave.
Mezcales by Los Danzantes are –in comparison to traditional Mezcales- a little lower in alcohol, between 42% to 45% and they produce matured products from barriques.
